BETHESDA, MD – February 25, 2010 – In just eight weeks, more than 1,000 aftermarket industry professionals have become fans of the new Car Care Professionals Facebook page, created by the Car Care Council. Repair shop and parts store owners and managers, technicians, counterpersons and others are using the new Facebook page to interact with colleagues, share stories and learn more about how the “Be Car Care Aware” campaign can help them communicate with customers.
“We noticed that a large number of service and repair professionals were becoming active fans of the original Car Care Council Facebook page that was originally designed for consumers, so we decided to create another virtual venue for car care professionals,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “Both pages are becoming quite popular and demonstrate the power of social networking in addition to the Web site and traditional media outreach.”
