2008 was an incredibly busy and productive year for the Car Care Council and its "Be Car Care Aware" campaign. Roller coaster gas prices and a belt-tightening economy created great demand for information on how vehicle maintenance can save money.
Looking ahead, 2009 is the best opportunity ever for the independent aftermarket to grow DIFY and DIY business through consumer education. New car dealerships are closing, gas prices are headed back up and money is tight.
